The following is a true story.
Crisis kiddo #5 was a 7 year old boy with autism. Cannot give you details about his situation, but I will say that his family did not own a car.
Me: Come on boys, we need to run to the store.
CK#5: How far away is it?
Me: Less than 10 miles.
CK#5: That sounds far. How long will it take us to get there?
Me: Less than 15 minutes.
CK#5: Why are we getting in the car?
Me: I already told you. We need to run to the store real quick.
CK#5: So why are we getting in the car?
Sometimes I forget how the autistic mind can take something so literally.
